Aurora

Aurora Aksnes is a Norwegian singer and songwriter from Norway. Her birthplace was in Stavanger on the 15th of June 1996 and professionally known as Aurora. Her name could be also stylized in the form of AURORA. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves has been released by Decca Records and was well welcomed by blogs about music. Half the World Away, by the Oasis band, was released for John Lewis Christmas advertisements and Nature Boy by Nat King Cole are among her best-known songs. Katy Perry, who endorsed the track Runaway with her voice, also gave it some more recognition. Make it a day to celebrate her birthday. Aurora Aksnes' first musical moment was when she stumbled across a miniature piano that was in her basement and bewildered by the sound it produced. Jan Oystein Aksnes and May-Britt Aksnes encouraged Aurora to study music, not for an income or as a pastime and as a way to grow. To achieve this she started writing her own new compositions. She has cited renowned songwriters Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan in her influences, along with a love for Bjork's style. Her mother encouraged her to perform her music in front of the public, but not in order to gain fame but rather to let others know that they matter and how they can make a difference for humanity. When she began playing the piano, she was only six and began writing music when she was nine. The family did not be aware of this until she reached the age of 14. Aurora never dreamed of being famous. Her sole passion is to write music. The songs she creates are how she feels about anything.
